As an incentive for the first team in September virtualswans.com promised to fully sponsor one player for every DPL point gained during the month. The
points at the end of the month earned 4 player sponsorships! A cheque was handed over at the final whistle of the last game
of the month.
The golden boot leaderboard (click golden boot award opposite)
was used to choose which players received sponsorship and Jason Phillips nominated the additional player he felt
was most deserving.
